Dear Friends,
We are delighted to invite you to a special event that will bring together the spirit of community and support for our Sv. Ivan Rilski Bulgarian Orthodox Church in Chicago.
On September 29, 2024, from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM, we will host a picnic and charity campaign at Busse Woods, Grove 18, Elk Grove Village, dedicated to raising funds for the restoration, maintenance, and daily expenses of our church.
This event is a wonderful opportunity to gather with friends, families, and all supporters who share the faith and love for Bulgarian traditions. While enjoying a beautiful autumn day in nature, we’ll have the chance to share thoughts, create new friendships, and, most importantly, support the mission of reopening our church.
The program will include:
- Delicious traditional food and drinks
- Entertainment for children
- Raffles and games
- Music and folk dancing
- A membership drive
The main goal of this picnic is to raise funds and recruit new members to help with the successful reopening and operation of our church. Your support is vital for preserving Bulgarian spiritual and cultural life in Chicago.
If you’re not yet a member, you will have the opportunity to join on-site or online via our membership form. Every contribution counts toward our shared goal.
